I’ve got a 2021 Ford Ranger with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine, and I’m planning to tow a camper on some long road trips. The camper weighs around 5,500 pounds, and while the Ranger is rated to handle it, I’ve been thinking about upgrading the suspension to make towing smoother and more stable.
I’ve heard that heavy-duty shocks or even air suspension kits can make a big difference, but I’m not sure where to start. Does anyone have experience with suspension mods for towing? What’s the best setup for improving performance without making the ride too stiff when I’m not towing? I don’t want to go overboard, but I also don’t want to feel like I’m pushing the truck to its limits on every trip. Any advice or recommendations would be really helpful!
