Title: 2012 Ford Ranger 3.2L Diesel: What’s the Oil Capacity?
Threaded Mode
#1
Hello everyone, I’m planning to change the oil on my 2012 Ford Ranger with the 3.2L diesel engine, but I’m hitting a wall with the oil capacity. I’ve heard different things—some people say 7 liters, others suggest it might be a bit more. I’d prefer to get it right without having to do any top-offs after the fact. Does anyone have the exact number? Thanks for the help—I’d hate to make a mess of things!

I’ve got a 2012 Ford Ranger with the 3.2L diesel, and when I change the oil, I go with 9.7 liters, including the filter. That’s the exact capacity you’re looking for. It’s always good to measure it out carefully to avoid overfilling, but if you go with 9.7 liters, you should be spot on. Just take your time with it, and you’ll be good to go—no need for any messy top-offs afterward!
