Hi all, I’m gearing up to change the oil on my 2007 Ford Ranger with the 3.0L V6 engine. I’ve seen different numbers floating around regarding the oil capacity, and I’m a bit confused. Some people say it’s 4.5 quarts, while others mention closer to 5 quarts. I want to make sure I have the right amount before I start. Can anyone here confirm the correct capacity? I’ve got the same 2007 Ford Ranger with the 3.0L V6, and I’ve done quite a few oil changes on it. The correct oil capacity is 5 quarts, including the filter. I know the 4.5 quarts number pops up here and there, but 5 quarts is what you’ll need to get it right. Just pour it all in, check the dipstick to confirm, and you should be set without any mid-job runs to the store. It’s always better to have a little extra on hand, but 5 quarts should do the trick perfectly.
