Has anyone else had this problem? My Ranger jerks when I’m braking, but only at low speeds, like when I’m pulling into a parking spot or coming to a stop sign. It’s not a smooth stop—it feels like the brakes are grabbing too hard and then suddenly letting go, causing a jerking motion. It’s not constant, but when it happens, it’s pretty noticeable and kind of annoying. At first, I thought it was just the brakes wearing out, but now I’m not so sure.
Could this be something with the transmission? Maybe the downshifting isn’t happening smoothly? Or could it be the ABS system kicking in at the wrong time? I don’t see any warning lights on the dash, and the brakes seem fine otherwise—no squeaking or grinding. I’d love to figure this out before it turns into a bigger issue.
Has anyone experienced this with their Ranger? What was the fix? Any advice on where I should start looking would be a huge help. Thanks!
