Title: What's the best tonneau cover for a Ford Ranger?
Threaded Mode
#1
Alright, I’ve tried a few different tonneau covers on my 2015 Ford Ranger with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine, so I figured I’d share some advice. It really comes down to how you use your truck. If you’re like me and haul stuff pretty often, I’d recommend going with a soft roll-up cover. I’ve had good experiences with the TruXedo TruXport cover—easy to roll up, lightweight, and doesn’t take forever to secure. Plus, it's affordable, so if you're on a budget, this one does the trick.

But if you’re more concerned about security, like keeping tools or other expensive gear safe, a hard cover is the way to go. I switched to a BAKFlip MX4 when I started carrying more valuable stuff around. It’s durable, holds up against rough weather, and locks down tight. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but honestly, you get what you pay for.

For anyone dealing with heavy rain, make sure to go for a cover with good water resistance—cheaper ones tend to leak around the edges. And don’t forget to check for compatibility with bed liners or racks if you’ve got those installed. Bottom line: figure out what you’ll be using your Ranger for and choose your cover accordingly!
