Title: What are the symptoms of a bad sway bar on a Ford Ranger?
Threaded Mode
#1
Alright, so I think my 2011 Ford Ranger with the 2.5L Duratec engine might have a bad sway bar. Lately, the truck’s been feeling really loose, especially when I’m going around corners. It leans more than it used to, and there’s this weird clunking sound coming from underneath, like something’s knocking around down there. From what I’ve read, this could be a sign of a bad sway bar or worn-out sway bar bushings.

Does that sound right to anyone else who’s had this issue? I’m also wondering if it could be something else like a broken sway bar end link. I checked the bushings, but they look pretty worn, so I’m thinking that might be the culprit. Should I just replace the whole sway bar or focus on the bushings and end links first?

Would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences. It’s not a safety concern (yet), but I don’t want to wait too long and end up with a bigger problem. Let me know if this diagnosis sounds on point or if I should be looking at something else entirely. Thanks!
